The Ronald McDonald House is located across from the Children's Hospital in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The house serves as a "home away from home" to those families with sick children who are seeking treatment at area hospitals. The house serves a hot dinner to their guests every night with the help of local sponsors and volunteers. 

On this night, SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus was able to sponsor a dinner, show up to do the prep work, cook and then serve the meal to the parents and children staying at the House. What a humbling experience it is to serve others. Thank you Ronald McDonald House for having us, we look forward to returning again soon! 

SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus is a competitive bunch and loves to help out our Columbus Community. Our marketing department thought of a way to make a donation to our local food bank and make it fun. The entire company was divided up into six teams and given the opportunity to bring in items on a point system. The donations are matched by the franchise owners Ken Parker & Ron Pack. The teams have been having a lot of fun seeing who is in first place each day. Regardless of who wins the friendly competition, the real winner is the local food pantry. SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus was very proud to support our local Columbus charities and causes. We recently were able to go to the store and purchase a cart full of toys and donate them to the Firefighters for Kids foundation which distributes the toys to needy children in our community during the holiday season. SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus received a call that a coffee pot had been stolen and the water hooked up to it had leaked all night. This caused quite a flood in a community living room that is frequently used for Sunday afternoon NFL games. SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus was hired to restore this devastating fire in Westerville, OH. The fire affected all rooms in the home and demolition and replacement was required for damaged drywall, trim and cabinets.

Early one morning the sprinkler system in the nursing home caused water damage throughout the facility. SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus production managers and owners along with production crews quickly responded to the loss.

The water was extracted, and antimicrobial was applied to prevent mold and mildew. This loss required 20 dehumidifiers and 100 air movers to dry the affected areas and some areas required demolition to dry properly. Central Ohio experienced heavy rain in late February which caused flooding and many sump pump failures. This home was one of the homes where the sump pump could not keep up with the volume of water from the storms. The carpet was not salvageable, and our trained crews removed the damaged carpet and pad.
