This year, SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus was excited and honored to participate in our 2018 Veteran's Day Parade. This parade showcased many of our local companies who do so much from hiring, helping and supporting our local Veteran Community.

We work in many houses and offices on a weekly basis, but SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus has a single favorite house...The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio. We had a chance to go down to the house and prepare a meal for approximately 150 people.

The Ronald McDonald House is located across from the Children's Hospital in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The house serves as a "home away from home" to those families with sick children who are seeking treatment at area hospitals. The house serves a hot dinner to their guests every night with the help of local sponsors and volunteers. 

On this night, SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus was able to sponsor a dinner, show up to do the prep work, cook and then serve the meal to the parents and children staying at the House. What a humbling experience it is to serve others. Thank you Ronald McDonald House for having us, we look forward to returning again soon! 

SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus is a competitive bunch and loves to help out our Columbus Community. Our marketing department thought of a way to make a donation to our local food bank and make it fun. The entire company was divided up into six teams and given the opportunity to bring in items on a point system. The donations are matched by the franchise owners Ken Parker & Ron Pack. The teams have been having a lot of fun seeing who is in first place each day. Regardless of who wins the friendly competition, the real winner is the local food pantry. All of the donations will go to feed hungry people here in Columbus, and for that we could not be happier! Thanks to all who have given a little to make a big difference.

This year at the 2018 TOBY awards we were humbled and honored to have our very own LaShawn Hill be presented with the Contractor of the Year Award on behalf of SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus. Lashawn's hard work and dedication to his customers was noticed by everyone he came in contact. He was quick to respond to customers in their time of need, he would walk them through their worst times, and he would always do the right thing. Lashawn's customers recommended him for this award because of his commitment to them and the professional service that he would always provide. SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus was very proud to support our local Columbus charities and causes. We recently were able to go to the store and purchase a cart full of toys and donate them to the Firefighters for Kids foundation which distributes the toys to needy children in our community during the holiday season. Our community is the lifeblood of our existence and we love giving back and helping in any way that are able. Our small donation was just a way that SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus' can show our continued respect for our first responders in our community. We love Columbus, and we love doing our part! 

SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus received a call that a coffee pot had been stolen and the water hooked up to it had leaked all night. This caused quite a flood in a community living room that is frequently used for Sunday afternoon NFL games. SERVPRO of Northeast Columbus responded to perform emergency extraction and to begin mitigation services on short notice very shortly after receiving notification. The party was able to go on, and the games were watched by the residents of the apartment complex without interruption. For the residents, our team saved the day. To our technicians, this is what we call...Sunday!
